Get to know me

My name is Christopher Waters and I first started painting in oil around 2008 as a past time , Bob Ross was a big influence, leading me to creating landscapes while I was in the military, my early art exposed some opportunities while I was serving at AETE and painting A/C CF188907 was one of those opportunities. 2008 my common law wife at the time gave birth to my first child and my view of the world changed over night, we would have two more children along the way. In 2011 I started my own company wholesaling salty snacks and left the military. I put painting on hold until my divorce in 2017 and picked up my brushes again. While I created some truly disastrous results to help me get through my divorce and after losing my business in 2020 I made a decision to move to Edmonton and attempt to start another career, in the diesel engine industry, after rising through the ranks from bottom to a leadership role I was publicly humiliated for my views on current events and dismissed. With more free time on my hands I would pick up my brushes again. When things settled down I began creating again in 2023 I made 5 paintings to proof of concept I could sell them, and with some promising results, decided to focus 2024 on expanding upon what I had learnt from my first sale and have now participated in my first art show and again promising results which further encouraged me to continue trying to pursue this endeavour. I now have created a web site and started to network with other Artists and have started creating more frequently and sharing results on social media. Much to my surprise as difficult of a journey this has been I have enjoyed every step along the way. This is just the beginning and still have many lessons to learn but look forward to future challenges and over coming them. I am so thankful for all the Wonderful people I meet along the way and the support they offer Thank you all for watching me as I make this journey.
